Those attend-ing attend-ing were Mable Nielsen, Eltsa and Bruno Biasi, Miriam Mo-Garry, Mo-Garry, Bryner Wood, Tony Albtv-to, Albtv-to, Franucis Piper, Don Ablegate Able-gate and Alex Wood. SCHOOL Conference for the parents and teachers of the Escalante Val!oy is being held throughout the week of November 11 to 15. Jay and Charley Woolsey of Newcastle brought happiness to Miss Taylor's first and second grade students by bringing throe' baby rabbits to school. j The latest pet before the rab- j bits was a short lived frog that was found in the snow. j CLUB ACTIVITY I Turkey Shoot The turkey shoot sponsored by the Valley Lions on Saturday was very successful. It was the opening day of the pheasant hunt, which brought many participants. par-ticipants. Hunters from Pan-guitch Pan-guitch were very much surprised to find so much snow and muddy mud-dy ungraveled roads as they had had no snow In their vicinity. Harvest Ball The annual Harvest Ball, spon. sorl by the Escalante Valley Ladies' Club was held at Mo-dona Mo-dona Saturday, Nov. 2. The noted Glen Ray orchestra from Hurricane Hurri-cane furnished the music. Refreshments Re-freshments were sold throughout the evening. The quilt made by the Ladies Club, which is an annual feature, was won by Lu-ctle Lu-ctle Hunt of the Valley, who Is attending college at Dixie. Eoxcutir Meeting I An executive meeting for the officers of the Ladies' Club was held Tuesday night. Nov. 12. at the home of Mr--. lunita Butler. j This will be foIowf-U o the annual an-nual meeting of the inrnrers for the election of new officers for the coming year. At this meeting plans were started for the annual Christmas party given by the outgoing officers. of-ficers. R. E. A. A recent physical check-up has brought an encouraging report.
