Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING by Nola Kupfer The En Avante club met on Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Richard Stuckl. Mrs. Royden C. Braithwaite read an old Greek comedy, "Lysistrata" by the Greek master, Aristophanes. The play, which was written in 412 B. C., was presented by Mrs. Braithwaite with the help of the members attending as they read various character parts. Everyone Every-one found the evening very interesting in-teresting and enjoyable. The hos-tess hos-tess served light refreshments following the reading. The CSU Faculty Women's i Club began a new year under the direction of officers Jane Pet-ty, Pet-ty, Eleene Osborne and lone Davis at the CSU cabin October 30. At the guests arrived they were set to creating for them selves a costume for which Mrs. Mabel Daley, Mrs. Gwynn Clark, and Mrs. Leatha Prestwich won prizes as the best designers. The ladles enjoyed a very delicious dinner served by committee members Mrs. Lillian Lunt, M's. Laveve Whetten, Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Osborne, Mrs. Petty, Miss Jericl Reeves and Miss Shirley Stout. Following the dinner Mrs. Fern Hunter entertained with a reading, read-ing, and four costumed ladies presented a novelty dance. Community Com-munity singing was led by Mrs. Wanda Cox after which Bingo was played. The next meeting will be held on November 21. it was announced. The MBW club members have been busy during the past two weeks. On November 1, the ladles la-dles entertained their partners t a delicious turkey dinner served ser-ved at the American Legion aux-iliary aux-iliary home. Fun was had by all as the couples arrived In costume cos-tume and games were played. Preparing the dinner and the evening's entertainment were Mrs. Llbbv Nelson. Mrs. Pauline Hunter, Mrs. Vellla Arns, and Mrs. Juanlta Naegle. Friday the regular meeting was held at the home of Mrs. John Brown. The members enloyed hearing Mrs. Nettie Flannlgan tell some of the highlights in the biography biogra-phy of her grandparents the John Chatterleys. Following the historical review refresiiiucnts were served by the hostess. The Deseret Inn at Las Venas was the weekend spot for Mr. and Mrs. Therol McArthur as they met Mr. McArthur's brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Marion McArthur of Long Beech, Calif Therol continued on to California Califor-nia on business, but returned in time to enjoy the Johnny Ray show and several of the other night spots before continuing cn to Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Vic Davis and sons spent the week end In Central Cen-tral where they visited with Mrs. Davis' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter J. Barney. They report the pheasant hunt was very succ-essful.
