Show KANARRAVILLE A wedding reception was held in the ward chapel Saturday evening, eve-ning, June 7 in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Bladen of Cedar City, who were married in the St. George L D S temple June 4. Mrs. Bladen was the former Miss Va-Laine Va-Laine Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Preston Williams. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Webster and son Keith of Caliente, Nev., and Mrs. Valena McKnight and children chil-dren of Carson City, Nev., spent a short time here Saturday visiting vis-iting with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Batty were week end visitors with their daughter, Mrs. Ivan Haskell at Payson, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pollock are visiting in Payson and Spanish Span-ish Fork with some of their children. chil-dren. They were accompanied by their grandson, Bernell Isom. Mrs. Edna Williams and children chil-dren of Los Angeles, Calif., visited vis-ited here and in Cedar City with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Perry O. Williams and children of Logan, Utah, here for a few days on business. They were accompanied back by their mother, Mrs. Amanda Williams Wil-liams and their niece, Miss Marian Mar-ian Williams, for a short visit. Mr. and Mrs. Geo Williams and family of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Neta Williams and children of Henderson, Nev., and Reese Davis of Bunkerville, Nev., were here to attend the wedding of their niece, VaLaine Williams Bladen. A fireside chat was held Sunday Sun-day night at the home of Bishop Elton Stout with visitors from Cedar City as speakers. Donna Hallman of Cedar City spent a few days here at the home of Miss Annette Williams. Mrs. Martha Williams visited here for a few days with her brother, John Henry Williams, who i ill. She spent the winter in Alamo, Nev., with her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Robert Adams. Mrs. Jackie Dixon of Provo visited vis-ited here last week with her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Rowen Williams. W. C. Reeves was in the Iron County hospital for a few days receiving medical care. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Pollock and daughter have returned home from Tucson, Ariz., where Blaine has been in the hospital with a broken jaw. Mrs. Ethna Williams received word that her son Verd has been stationed at Fort Ord, Calif. |
