Show Iron County 4-H Club Members Attend Annual Camp Today, Thursday, 4-H Club members from Iron County are busy sotting up camp for the annual an-nual 1 11 outing at Duck Creek camp grounds on Cedar Mountain, Moun-tain, according to Emma Nielson, home demonstration agent for the county. The camp is set for Thursdav, Friday and Saturday, July 29, 30 and 31. This afternoon the principal item of business w ill be the election elec-tion of a mayor and scribe to conduct the camp for the 4-Hers. However, details and supevision will be furnished by the extension exten-sion office with Miss Nielson and Stephen Brower in charge. Vying for the position of mayor for this year's camp are: Dick Cox, Hamilton's Fort; Beverly Barlocker, Beryl, and Hettie Ann Jones, Paragonah. Srrihe candidates nrp- farnlvn Knell, Newcastle; Annetta Cox, Hamilton's Fort, and Barbara Jane Bayles, Parowan. A host of 4-H club members have been selected for the various vari-ous activities of the camp and the extension personnel pointed out that the boys and girls do the organizing, plan the activities and carry them out with only supervisory service rendered by the adult leaders. Highlights of the camp each year are the campfire programs where each 4-H Club represented presents a skit and songs with first, second and third places given gi-ven in the various division of the skits. The public is always cordially cordial-ly invited to attend these camp-fire camp-fire programs which will be held this evening and Friday evening. The 4-Hers will break up camp Saturday noon to return to their homes. |
