Show C '( -t Capacity Crowd Attends Annual Fashion Show An overflowing crowd of 300 attended the fourth annual Jaycee-Ette Fashion Show last Friday Fri-day evening at the L D S First ward recreation hall in Cedar City. As a highlight of the evening, men, who for the first time attended at-tended a fashion show here, selected se-lected their favorite model. Mrs. Tony Lambert, the favorite model, mo-del, was presented with an orchid or-chid corsage by Max Lunt, pres-iden pres-iden of the Cedar Junior Chamber of Commerce. Thirty modeis displayed dis-played spring styles during the evening. ceeds from the Fashion show. Baskets of spring flowers were presented to five ladies chosen as representative of the smartly attired audience. They were Miss Ida Markman, Provo; Mrs. Jennie Carter, St George; Mrs. Naoma Piatt, Mrs. Gwen Beal and Mrs. Joanne Larson, Cedar City. Mrs. Virginia Randall received the large quilt made by Jaycee-Ette Jaycee-Ette members. A committee composed of Mrs. ilia Sherratt, chairman, Lorain Jameson and Bertha Jones, is 'busy with the Cedar Junior librarian li-brarian compiling a list of books for the children's library which will be purchased with the proceeds pro-ceeds from the show. |
