Show Snow Measurements Made at Cedar Breaks Rangers Jasper Crawford of Zion National Park, and John Lewis of Bryee National Park, accompanied by Theron Ashcroft and Dr. Reed W. Farnsworth of Cedar City, and Dr. A. E. Carmel tunnel, And driving to Swain Creek, and making the rest of the trip by iklls. They spent Saturday night at Duck Creek Ranger Station, and Sunday night was spent at Cedar Breaks, and the trip to Cedar City by way of Cedar Canyon Can-yon was made Monday morning. They reported the most rugged part of the trip was from Duck Creek to the Breaks, which took nine hours of traveling. The reported finding approximately approx-imately six feet of snow at Duck Creek and about seven and a half feet In the Breaks area with tremendous drifts throughout the entire area. A detailed report of the snow depths and water contents, to- gether with comparisons with previous years will be released by the parks service in the near future. |
