Show Illinois Official To Visit B. A. C. One of thirty schools in the United Uni-ted States, selected because of its program of making academic theory functional, the Branch Agricultural College will be visited, December 11, by T. Earl Tilley, representative of the Park Ridge Illinois Public School System. This Information was received re-ceived recently by C. B. Cooley, head of the Department of Industrial Indus-trial Education. Part of the letter reads: "After a careful study of returns from one hundred seventy schools located in various parts of the country, thirty have been selected as sufficiently distinctive to warrant a presonal visit. I am glad to tell you that your school Is one of these.'' The B. A. C. was selected by Mr. Tilley, Curriculum Consultant of the Illinois Public School System, beat be-at B. A. For example, students In physics phy-sics apply theory principles to the practice of meteorology; students in mathematics and drawing apply their theory to the practice of engineering; en-gineering; students In the building trades classes apply their theory directly di-rectly to the building of a modern structure each year, while students In typewriting and secretarial science make active application of their studies to the work they do in school and government offices. A C. for his examination and I om sure that we will be able to make his visit pleasant and valuable." |
