Show Conoco Prepares For Record Tourist Year The Continental Oil Company, through the Conoco Travel Bureau, is laying plans for the largest I tourist season this year In the hls-j hls-j tory of American motor travel. A program has been formulated to stimulate motor travel In roating tourist to cover all points of Interest In-terest to make their trips more enjoyable. en-joyable. The entire program was announced an-nounced by Messrs. A. T. Farrell, Assistant Division Manager, Gilbert Gil-bert K. Ludwig, Engineer Representative, Repre-sentative, of the Salt Lake Dlvltf on Office, and G. D. McGarry, District Dis-trict Sales Representative of Richfield, Rich-field, at a ( ir.r.er meeting held at the Escalant? Hotel on March 20th. The Conoco Tcuraide has been completely redesigned to give the tourist the latest road information, accomodations, and the hundred and one other things that go to make travel more enjoyable to the motoring public. The entire plan Is built around the slogan "The Welfare Wel-fare of the Traveler Comes First." Applications for the new Tour-aide Tour-aide will be made through Conoco Ml'enge Merchants who also will have many extra airs for the tourist tour-ist to make travel more pleasant. Commission Agents, and Mileage Merchants from Parowan, Cedar City, Kanarra, Plntura, Veyo, St. George, and Beaver, were guests at the meeting. It. was predicted thtt Southern Utah, "The Center of Scenic America" will enjoy the largest revenue this year In its history from motoring tourists. |
