Show New Tourist Court I And Garage Add To Building Boom Construction of another new tourist court and a new garage is underway on South Main street, the two buildings having been started well ahead of the government's govern-ment's orr'.er stopplnj construction of business buildings, and will not be affected by that order. The new garage building is being erected by Paul Cox at the site of the service operated by him for the past sever.' 1 years. It will be known as "The 91 Garage'' and will house a general repair business as well as provide sales and service on a automobile and truck agency held by Mr. Cox, 1. e. Studcbaker cars and Mack trucks. The building will be 65 feet by 95 feet in size and will Include all the i 'atest features of an automobile , repair shop. Construction ls already well underway and Mr. Cox expects ex-pects that It will be completed in sixty to ninety days. A thirteen unit tourist court Is under construction Just North of the new 91 Garage, located between the Green Line and Blue Pine Motels on South Main street. Trie Court is being erected by H. J. De-'aney De-'aney of Arizona, who has been In the tourist court business for many years and has operated such a business at Williams, Arizona for the pa-t fourteen years. Mr. De-laney De-laney is associated with the California Cali-fornia Auto Court Association, an organization that specializes In the construction, leasing, selling and operation of tourist courts and motels througnout the West. The new tourist court twill In- j c'ude eight double and five single units, and a six-room modern home n? living quarters for the operator. operat-or. The home and the cabin units will be of brick construction and will embody the latest features of tourist cabin design. The new :ourt will provide an attractive md high type tourist center. j |
