Show I Service Men's Wives Get Acquainted The members of tip Service Men's Wives Clubs held a get acquainted pr.rty June Oth in the First Ward Recreation hall. A delicious Buffet Buf-fet Supper was served to over sixty j ladies, after which games were played play-ed end songs were sung by the group. I The party was arranged by Gladys Isom, Ila Sherratt and Ruth S egr miller. Mina Orton was In charge 1 of the supper. The next regular meeting cf the club will b? held Thursday. June 21. r.t 8 pm. In the club rooms In the Armory. All Service Men's wives are urged to attend. ; Furlough Findings 1 Bert Carpenfr, who is with the armed foces In Louisianna, has been promoted to the rank of Corporal. ! Bert is an M. P. I Mrs. Sam Allen and son are In C dar City spending a month with i Mrs. Allen's parent?, Mr. and Mrs Heber Sevy. They will return to Texas where M Sgt. Allen is saving sav-ing with the armed forces. Ellis Hunt, husband of Mrs. Barbara Bar-bara Smith Hunt of Parowan. has been discharged from the army on th? point system. He has had eighteen eigh-teen months overseas duty in Italy. Lt. Max Lunt is spending a ten day furlorgh with hLs family in Cedar City. |
