Show WRITES FROM PACIFIC Jimmy Pete, Chief of the Cedar City Piute Indians, reports the receipt re-ceipt of a V-Mail letter from hLs son, Pfc. Woodrow Pete, who is serving with the United States Army In New Guinea. Woodrow describes des-cribes the country and the climate, and says he Is getting along very weU. We quota from the letter as follows: fol-lows: "Every morning I get up and do the same thingwalk outside and look at those beautiful green mountains moun-tains where the banana trees grow. It Is very hot here as it is very close to the equator. It won't be so bad when It geU a little cooler. It won't be so hard when I have teen here about a year, as I'll get used to It. "So Grant got a Job in the turkey tur-key plant? No wonder we have been getting turkey almost every week. I'm getting along fine and dandy. Tell me what's going on over there.'? |
