Show H. H. Petersen Dies At Home In Richfield Hans Henry Peterson, 83, prominent prom-inent druggiist of Southern Utah for the past forty-five years, died at his home in Richfield Friday morning of causes incident to age. Mr. Petersen, who had been a druggist drug-gist in Elslnore and Richfield during dur-ing that time, established the Pete-ersen Pete-ersen Drug company in Cedar City In partnership with his son Henry E. Petersen. The store was later operated by another son, Irvin H. Petersen. H. H. Petersen was born in Copenhagen, Co-penhagen, Denmark, September 30, 1861, and came to the United States at the age of 17, and to Utah in 1800. He married Hanne M. Lunt on December 1, 1894. in Salt Lake ,City. "Widely known in the southern part of the state, Mr. Petersen was a member of Hiram lodge No. 12, F and A M. the Scottish Rite, and El Kalah temple of the shrine. He had served as president of the Utah Pharmaceutical club, and as master of Hiram lodge. He was a charter member of the Danish brotherhood. Hp is survived by his widow; two sons, Major Henry E. Petersen and Iriving H. Petersen, Junior seaman sea-man secound class, both of whom are serving with the armed forces in Hawaii at the present time; and a daughter, Mrs. Jennie P. Thompson, Thomp-son, Oakland, California. Also surviving sur-viving are three grandchildren. |
