Show OUR SERVICE MEN I AT HOME Two More Cedar Men Home From Europe Speeded toward home from overseas over-seas as part of the "Green Project" which calls for the Air Transport Command's Caribbean Division to fly 30,000 returnees from Europe to Miami, Florida, Army Air Field each month, two more Cedar City men are back in the states. Harold C. Secrlst returned from Germany after thirty-four months of overseas duty. He is entitled to wear eight Battle Stars, Infantry Combat Badge. Pre Pearl Harbor Ribbon, and Good Conduct Medal, and has been awarded the Croix De Oeurre (with Palm) and Foure-gerre Foure-gerre (French). Walter A. Stanley returned from Italy, after thirteen months of overseas duty, and wears two Battle Stars and the Infantry Combat Badge. In less than 24 hours they left for Camp Blandlng, Florida. From there they will be sent to a reception recep-tion center before reaching home. Secrist was discharged from the Army under the adjusted service rating plan at the Fort Douglas Separation Center Monday and Is expected to arrive In Cedar City soon. , ft Daniel L. Heap Sgt. Daniel L. Heap, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Heap of Cedar City, returned to Fort Douglas on August Aug-ust 19th after spending a thirty-day thirty-day furlough with relatives and friends In southern Utah. Sgt. Heap spent the past year on duty with the American armed forces In the European theatre of war. After returning to Foit Douglas Doug-las he was transferred to Oklahoma Okla-homa to return to duty. Vernon Williams Vernon Williams returned home Monday from England where he had been In service with the United Unit-ed States Air Corps. He entered service two years ago, and was transferred to England seven months ago as a member of a B-24 Liberator Oround crew. He Is now on a thirty-day furlough, fur-lough, after which he will report for duty at Sioux Falls. South Dakota. Da-kota. He was previously scheduled to leave for service in the Pacific, but is now uncertain as to what his assignment will be. Riley Adair Pfc. Riley Adair. 26. son of Mrs. Sarah Lunt of Cedar City, a veteran vet-eran of 18 months of overseas duty in the European Theatre of Operations, Op-erations, returned to the United States on August 9th. He arrived aboard an Air Traasport Command trans-Atlantic plane landing at LaGuardla Field. N. Y. He left Cedar City with Battery Bat-tery F. of the 222nd Field Artillery In March. 1941. and has been serving serv-ing In Europe as a driver. a a Howard Knight Second Lt. Howard Knight i. home on a thirty-day leave after sending about three yeais In the Pacific War Zone. He will report to Camp Hood. Texas, on Sept. 13th. for reassignment. Howard has five battle stars for campaigns In the Puclflc theatre of war, his latest action having orvn in Minainao and Luzon Island of the Philippines. He has been serving with a tank destroyer unit during his overseas duty. Having entered service with the National Guard in March, 1941 he has been In service almost fjur nd a half years. He entered service with the Cedar City Battery Bat-tery of the National Ouard In March 1941. and has been stationed at Scottfleld.
