Boy Wins Scholarship Award , Dick Nelfx.i, a senior at the Ce-ar Ce-ar City r.'.-h S:-h"ol. has ju t eceived the $100 Union Pacific 3cholarsh'p award because of notorious no-torious work in agricultural. Every vear since 1921 a scholarship has ';een awarded by Carl Raymond Trny of the Union Pacific to an Vj. student in each county where he Union Pacific has a branch. The boy to whom the award is iven must either be a Junior or a enior. He must have completed two years of vocational agriculture I md have been regularly registered n Ag. science and farm mechanics. As the 1946 winner in Iron County, Coun-ty, Dick will receive a $100 scholarship schol-arship to any Agricultural College In the United States which he may wish to attend. Students Compete in .... Vocational Day Contents The students and faculty at Cedar Ce-dar High are enthusiastic nlxut Vocational day at the B.A.C ; they are entering contestants In practically practi-cally every division. In the fir t year type contest Eleanor Sargent, Gordon Bothers, Virginia Nelson, and Emma LoU Warren will compete. Second year type contestants will be: Rlchnru r.-illey, Jean Burnhnm, Myrl Hey-wood, Hey-wood, and Ruth Marie Hunter. Lovinna Mathcson, Eoris Brown, Vyonne Lnmoreaux, and Marie Moiling will compete In the bookkeeping book-keeping contest; and Colleen Adam Eula Mae Dotson. Gertrude A ,h- t ley, and Sharonne Heyborne are the representatives of the students from first year shorthand. From the Home Eronomlcs Department De-partment Mif Blng'.inm is presenting pre-senting a demonstration on "Spot and Stain Removal from Clothing" which will be given by Luree Sargent, Sar-gent, Claudia Romlxrger and Joyce Bowen. Contests on making bread and sponge cakes will ul o be entered en-tered by individual students. C. A Anderson is entering a team of three boys from the Ag.
