Show Program Announced For Life Institute The Community Adult Education Committee has completed all plans for the annual Family Life Institute to be held March 28 and 29, and the program will be as follows: Thursday, March 28, 8 p. m. Opening General Session, First ward chapel. "Lecture, "Newer Concepts Con-cepts of Disipline" Are we spoiling cur children?, Mrs. Sldbnle Mats-ner Mats-ner Gruenberg. Friday, March 29, 11 a. m. College Col-lege ana high school assembly, B. A. C. Auditorium. Lecture "What Is .Maturity?" 3 p. m. A Panel Discussion. B. A. C. Auditorium. "Parents, Young People, and Money". (A group of .senior high school and college students stu-dents with Mrs. Gruenberg as panel leader.) 8 p. m. Closing General Session. Ses-sion. First Ward Chapel Lecture "Our Cliilc'ffen's Leisure Time" Effect of movies, radio, and comics on today's child. Informal audience discussion will follow each lecture. Mrs. Gruenberg, who has been associated with the Child Study Association of America over thirty years, comes to the lecture lec-ture platform from a wide background back-ground of experience in child guidance guid-ance and personality development. She will be the third discussion leader in family life problems brought to Cedar City for the annual an-nual institute. Previously we have had Dr. Paul Popenoe of the American Ameri-can Institute of Family Relations In Los Angeles, and Dr. Ernest Osborne Os-borne of the Teachers' College, Columbia Co-lumbia University. Mr. C. B. Cooley, chairman of Adult Education, announces his committee assignments as follows: Publicity. Mrs. Piatt Watson. Mrs. Willard Lunt, and Mrs. D. C. Dlx; Printed programs, Mr. Wm. S. Baker, Bak-er, Miss Grace Tucker, Mr. Clarence Clar-ence Anderson; Registration, Miss Hazel Bingham and Mr. L. E. Tuel-ler. Tuel-ler. There Is no registration lee for the institute. Anticipating a most successful Institute the committee urges all church and civic leaders to Invite tfieir membership to the meetings and lend all possible support sup-port to this profitable community activity. |
