Show KANARRA ' ! Kannrra, Utah, March 6, 1919. Mrs. John Stapley is in Cedar this week visiting with friends. John S. Smith, our veteran carpenter, carpen-ter, is on the sick-list. His complaint seems to be a bronchial trouble. Mrs. Mary I. Wiliams was called jby her daughter, Mrs. Frank Ander-i Ander-i son, to the Echo Farm this week on I account of the illness of Mr. and Mrs. ! Anderson's baby. Mrs. George Wood of Hurricane is j here spending a few days with rela- i tives and friends. t Mr. and Mrs. Jo. Hyatt of Parownn , ure here spending a few days with Mrs. Hyatt's parents, Mr. and Mrs. I Myron Oavis. The plastering of the new school 1 house is now completed and a force of carpenters and cement men are busy. , When completed our new building will 1 be a credit to the School Board as well as to the town. There are two men engaged in 'putting railings on all the bridges and culverts along the state highway. They are going as far south as the county line. This is a much-needed improvement, and will do much to safeguard travel. Last Saturday evening, commencing at 4 p. m. u welcome home pnrty was given in honor of two more of our re-I re-I turned soldier boys I.o Balser and ! Marion Roundy, who recently arrived from Camp Lewis. The party consist-I consist-I ed of a program, which commenced by 1 the singing of The Star-Spangled Ban-! Ban-! ner. Prayer was offered by Otto Reeves. The address of welcome was given by Bishop Berry. A solo was nicely sung by Miss Tuylor, and a Chorus by the soldier boys. At the close of the meeting a bounteous repast re-past was served by the committee and aids, with a dance in the evening. The whole affair was a perfect success. |
