Show B. A. C. AGAIN AFTER THE CHAMPIONSHIP Have Walk-Over in South Half of Southern Division, With Good Prospects Pros-pects for (letting in State Tourney. Jack Christensen with his husky bunch of basket tossers plowed down through the mud last Saturday to St. George and put one over the Dixie Normal team, winning by a score of almost three to one. On the way back through the deep ruts Mr. Christensen ran one of the hind wheels of his car off two or three times, but finally succeeded in making it in, with the aid of the service serv-ice department of a local garage, after af-ter a Cadallac eight and a Hudson Super-six had been stranded in trying to reach the disabled car. Tomorrow night these same teams will clash again at the B. A. C. gym, I and while it in confidently expected' that the B. A. C. will win, it is likely to be rather a hard scrap, as it is a well known fact that the Dixie lads ! put up a better fight on tKe other fellow's floor than they do on their: own, and we hold that the local team does the same. This being true, the j game is likely to be much closer than j the one played at St. George. The seats for this game are nowi ! on sale at Wood's Toggery. The game with the Parowan High1 ' School boys was a most one-sided af-1 fair, to say the least, as shown by ! i the score of 80 to 16. The Parowan school has some promising material, but lacked coaching and practice. The i disparagy between the teams was so great that the Parowan team con-ceded con-ceded the victory to the B. A. C. with- i out the formality of a second game, ; ' to which they were entitled under the ', ' rules of the league. The game Was played in the B. A. ! C. gym Wednesday night and was I witnessed by u good sized crowd of I students and local rrrorts. - The indications are tr.,a the B. A. C. will have no difficulty in winning the championship of the south half of) the Southern Division of the State, ' i and if this is the case, then the game scheduled to be played at Beaver between be-tween the division champions will I lc a stur attraction, for in the Hinck ley team they will find foes vorthy of their rowhide. For with one of the best teams in the state lust year and playing four of the same men this year, they are sure to have a hard bunch to tackle. Already some of the local sports arc planning to go to Beaver to witness wit-ness this game. |
