Cattle receipts this weew 50,- 8110 head last week 44,940, same week last year 45,905 head. Market today strong and active with very little here, resulting in a bunch of stags topping the market today at $15.00. Top on steers this week $18.50. Hog , receipts this week 101,779, last week 1 74,888, same week last year 74,528. Market closed today 10 to 15 cents lower, top $17.75. However, no choice heavy hogs on the market. Top for the week $17.85, quality plain to medium me-dium all week. Sheep receipts this week 29,0:19, last week 24,054, same week last year 24,005. Market higher high-er each day this week, closed today '24 cents higher. Top on lambs $18. 80, highest price pnid so far this week. Beef Cattle. In spite of the liberal supply this week, choice prime steers were extremely ex-tremely scarce. Today's receipts very light with no quality here, a bunch of stags topping the market at $15 Market strong and active. However, the market for the week 15 to 25 cts. off, the top sale of $18.50 being a scratch. Pulpers sold this week up to $10.00. Butcher grades declined from 25 to 50 cents with choice cows selling up to $13.50, while the plain and canner kinds sold from $5.75 to $7.00. Trade in bulls about steady selling from $9.50 to $11.00. Veal calves selling from $10.50 to $13.50.
