Show MODENA. Modena, April 22, 1914. Sheriff Fro'yd was in town Sunday night searching for the two Mexicans who made their escape from Cedar City a short time since. Ho reports their having visited a sheep camp between hero and Iron Springs last Friday night. The herder at the camp said they had nothing to shoot with and ho (the herder) didn't get out of bed, while tho Mexicans were in his wagon getting something to eat at 12 o'clock at nght. After they had satisfied their hunger they left him unmolested. unmoles-ted. The wives of the Mexicans are in Caliente, and Sheriff Froyd thinking his men would bo more likely to go there than anywhere else, left hero en route to Caliento last Monday morning. Sheriff Neilson of Beaver County was in town this week for the purpose pur-pose of recapturing a white man who made his escape from tho deputy sheriff of Beaver county a short time ago. Wo arc all very much pleased to have Dr. Hossler tho local Weather Bureau manager with us again, enjoying en-joying his usual good health. Of courso when wo say tho Doctor we nlean his wife and littlo daughter too. |
