Show BETTERMENT DAY. In accordance with the Betterment League of Salt Lake county and other parts of the state, the people of Pnro-w Pnro-w m will properly observe next Sun day, the 10th, as Betterment Day. The purpose of the day is to crento a 'n ntiment throughout the state that will bring about tho cnactmont nnd enforcement en-forcement of laws that will improve the moral atmosphere of every community com-munity in Utah. The following program pro-gram will be given: Commencing at 2 p. m. in tho meeting meet-ing house. Special music by the choir. Prayer. Address on fitting moral topics, Dr. A. N. Leonard. Solo, L. J. Adams. Short address, Public Dances, F. C. Van Burcn. Vocal Music, Wm. H. Orton, et al. Consideration of proposed resolutions resolu-tions to tho stato legislature. Evening Meeting, 7 O'CIock. Song, choir and congregation. Prayer. Solo, Miss Ada McGregor. Reading, Will L. Adams. Organ solo, Mrs. Robinson. Music by the string band. Department Work, Young Ladies. Talk, Proper Dress for Young Ladies, La-dies, Miss Anna Adams. Reclaiming Attention of Young Men, Mrs. Julia Lyman. Talk to Girls, Mrs. Mary Marsden. General discussion. Department Work, Young Men. Wo are very fortunate in securing the services of Dr. Leonard for tho day, as he is a man of knowledge and experience along our moral needs, and is a polished speaker. It is desired de-sired that the entire public attend the meeting. |
