Show . At last, after years of wrangling, the senate has ousted William Lorimer, senator-elect of Illinois, Illi-nois, from his seat in that body. Following a former for-mer investigation, ho was declared duly elected by tho legislature of his home state. A second inves-1 tigation was ordered and the same evidence was produced, the committee having tho investigation in charge making tho same recommendation as the , former committee, that he was entitled to his , seat. In spite of the committees recommendation, a majority of tho members voted to oust him. Some of them changed their minds, but for what! reason, porhaps only they themjselvcs know. Wo suspect that "progress veness" may have had something to do with the action of several members in the final vote. |
