Show I I NADA J ; Noda, Utah, Feb. 10, 1920. Anthony Stephenson, crstwhilo street car conductor of Snlt Lake City, is making an extended visit with his brother, Oscar Stephenson. Mr. M. Sclmaf and Will White drove to Mineraville last week, where Mr. Schaaf purchased a heavy team for farm work. Mrs. II. M. Dinwiddic, who went to California to spend the winter, returned re-turned to her home here, declaring emphatically that she, was a Utahn, and was glad to bo bnck in "God's Country." Mrs. Dinwiddic hns lived fifty years in California, having driven driv-en there from Missouri with nn ox tenm when a little child. w 9 Phillip, tho little threo-year-old son of Mr. nnd Mrs. E. M. Colvin, wns taken sick very suddenly Inst week. Mr. Colvin pressed tho Nnda section enr into service nnd telephoned to Ce-dnr Ce-dnr from Lund. Due to tho condition of the ronds the doctor could not get through, so Dr. Hunter of Milford wns telegraphed for. Ho agreed to meet Mr. Colvin nt Nnda, where ho arrived on n railroad motor car nt 8 p. m., but evidently Mr. Colvin wns unable to make the return trip from Lund. After Af-ter waiting some time, Dr. Hunter wns compelled to return to Milford with out seeing the patient. J. E. and II. R. Moore will return to their ranches here ns soon ns tho ronds will permit travol by auto. Elizabeth Barnes returned to school nftcr nn illness of a week. Sho may go to California to spend tho remainder remain-der of the year with her mother. Mr. nnd Mrs. Miko Schnaf have gone to housekeeping in Wm. White's house. Mr. P. T. Keillor hns purchased a 1 h. p. engine, made by Fairbanks, Morse, Company. Mr. M. Schaaf is expecting a carload car-load of woven wire with which ho will fence 1(0 acres of his ranch. For three days snow has fallen hero though but lightly nnd at intervals. There is now about six inches of very heavy, wet snow on tho ground, but tho clouds ore drifting away and tonight to-night will perhaps sco the end of tho storm. Not that wo are glad it has quit snowing, though, for that is what we need in this volley. |
