Show RECORD SUMMONSED TO NEW YORK CITY Must Appear Forthwith in N. Y. Post-Graduate School and Report Happenings. New York, Feb. 2, 1920. Mr. C. S. Wilkinson, Cedar City, Utah. Friend Chas. "Lest you forget:" for-get:" You are hereby summonsed to appear in person, or through the legal editorias of the Iron County Record, at once in the library of tho New York Post-gradunto School, N. Y., and present pre-sent therewith n true(?) statement of tho current events and recent doings do-ings of the society folk of Cedar City and her neighboring municipalities; such information to continue uninterrupted uninter-rupted until such time as the fates deem such testimony immaterial and unnecessary. Hnd a splendid trip early last month from Utah to New York. Came by wny of Washington, D. C, where I remained over a few days "taking in" the capitol. Met our Senators and Representatives from Utah, and had the honor of speaking to the saints in their Sacramental meeting nt Senator Smoot's residence. Saw the place where "John Brown's body lies n.mouldering in the grave," as we came down the Patomac. Also visited the great military cemetery at Arlington Heights, the wonderful arts building, the great library, White House, Washington Monument, etc. Now I am .in tne Big Town and settled down to some good hard work. Will continue here in the special work until first of April, when I will return re-turn to Snlt Lake City. Will undoubtedly un-doubtedly be in Cedar City during tho early prill of Mayr- - -,, ,. This is a wonderful city of 0,000,-000 0,000,-000 people. Just now we are having nn average of 2,000 new cases of "flu" daily, with about 2(30 deaths each day. Wo all just "saw wood" and do not worry until our time comes. The most wonderful thing hero to mo is the system of travel. The gigantic gi-gantic subway, where people by the hundreds of thousands arc transported from place to place underground almost al-most in the twinkling of nn eye. These underground hounds nverage 00 miles per hour. The only trouble is to keep your head, and feet, too, for that matter. mat-ter. And above all "follow the green line," and "shuttle across." Address paper to New York Post-Graduate Post-Graduate School, Second Ave and 20th Street, Now York. With kind regards to all the good people of Cedar City and you, also. Your friend, DR. LEONARD. |
