Show Mrs. S. J. Foster, who has been hovering about death's door nearly all this week, her life suspended by a thread, so to speak, is reported by Dr. Macfarlano to havo passed the crisis of her diseaso (influenza-pneumonia) yesterday afternoon and to - now havo a good chanco for recovery, although being very weak. Since his return from Snn Francisco, where ho went to investigate modern bank buildings, Mr. Foster has clung tenaciously te-naciously to the bedside of his suffering suf-fering wife, doing everything possible to improve her chances for recovery. The community rejoices with him in the recent improvement in the lady's condition. It is the intention of Dr. Macfarlano Macfar-lano to go cast about tho first of March, in company with Dr. Middle-ton, Middle-ton, to pursue post-grnduato work in some of tho leading medical insti'.u-tions. insti'.u-tions. They will spend about three months there and then return to their respective fields of labor. According to present arrangements Miss Giles, tho graduate nurse who has done such eflicient work in tho local hospital, will leave Cedar City about the same time, going either to Salt Lake City or southern California. Miss Giles has proven a real asset to southern Utah during her sojourn hero and many patients pa-tients owe a lurgo per cent of their splendid results from operations and Bevcro illness to her excellent scientific scien-tific care.
