The funds by which American aid has been feeding millions mil-lions have run out, and that the work may not stop and thus precipitate whnt would amount to "a massacre of the Innocents" seen other great American Amer-ican relief organizations have united with Mr. Hoover's organization under the name of the European Relief Council Coun-cil In b Joint appeul for funds. The collaborating agencies are the American Ameri-can Red Cross, the American Friends' Service Committee (Quakers), the Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, the Federal Churches of Christ In America, the Knights of Columbus, the Y. M. O. A. and the 1. W. a A. LOAN FUND FOR DESERVING BOYS Since the Home Economics organization organi-zation of Cedar adopted tho B. A. C. girls, and created a loan fund for those who could not otherwise complete com-plete their courses, the Commercial Club has decided to adopt the boys. Tho Commercial Club, too, will create a fund for the aid of boys who could not otherwise complete their i courses. To this end, a series of Recitals Re-citals of dramatic readings arc plan, ned to be given by Mrs. John U. Webster Web-ster under the auspices of the club in various towns of the country. .Dates for these will be set for various nights I of next week, and the club members are very enthusiastic over tho idea and over tho program being prepared ly Mrs. Webster. That the club should adopt tho boys of tho B. A. C, as the Home Economics Club adopted jthe girls, is nn idea that pleased every- 'body. That theie arc as many deserving deserv-ing cas,es among the boys ns among the girls, is highly probable. That the men are the logical helpers of the boys is not to be denied. That the Commercial Club has chosen an effective method of starting their loan fund is not to be doubted. That Mrs. Webster's program will delight 'the peopls is not to be questioned Those who best know her work will not need the reason for going that they are helping tho boys.
