Dillon, wlioTduring his residence resi-dence here, was known as "Pat" Dillon, Dil-lon, was killed in a runaway accident at Helena, Mont., Sunday last. M. W. O. Quinn. j - Mr. and Mrs. Cowley of Denver, who have been in the city for the past two weeks, will leave for home tonight. Mr. Cowley is a civil engineer, who has been doing some work in this vicinity. LARAMIE. Rev. Father Cummiskey has been in Cheyenne on a business trip. j James Murphy,who has been ill in the city since April ,and a sufferer for several years, passed away the morning morn-ing of July 6, at 10 o'clock, at the residence, resi-dence, 156 Third street. The cause of his death was Bright's disease, though there were -other complications that hastened the end and made his suffering suf-fering such as could be borne only by a man of great' mental power and physical endurance. Mr. Murphy was born in Urince Edward's Ed-ward's island, May 24, 1842. and came into the United States in 1874, fcettling' first in Chicago, where he was in busi ness for several years. From Chicago he went to Leadville, Colo., remaining a year or two, going thence to North Park afid engaging1 in the cattle business, busi-ness, where he remained for twenty years. t -. - . He has been very successful in his cattle and ranch business in the park, though being ill for some time and being be-ing compelled to come to the city final ly ior treatment. . The change to the city was of no permanent benefit, .though at times he had seemed considerably consid-erably better.- ... . .. , Mr. Murphy leaves a wife and three children, two sons and one daughter The elder son, Frank, is a graduate of ini UnI'er8lty of Wyoming, class of 1J01, and the younger son, Charles, who attended the. university last winter, win-ter, is with his uncle in the cattle business busi-ness in North Park. One daughter, Miss Irene, is with her mother and elder brother here. Mr. Murphy has one brother, Mr. Joseph Murphy, at Walden. The funeral will be held at St. Lawrences Law-rences Catholic church on Saturday morning at 9 o'clock, Rev. Father Cummiskey Cum-miskey officiating; ' ' 'FheT,Sweet Sixtee" dub surprised Miss Etta Kennedy Tuesday evening, the occasion being her birthday.
