Show Dublin Police Espionage. A meeting of the Mountjoy Ward ; branch. U. L. L., was held at 14 Sum- i mer hill. For a long time before the meeting commenced Feverai policemen were stationed at the door and stared ! fch person who entered. During the progress of the meeting Constable 69 j C remained in the hall outside the j , . door of the meeting rooms. Several I members who left before the conclu- ' i sion of the meeting were subjected to a cross-examination by the officious member of the force as to who were present and the name of the secretary. The chairman having been informed of this extraordinary conduct on the part Of this policeman gave instructions for him to be invited into yie room. Apparently Ap-parently the constable iieard these in-strutcions in-strutcions for when the door was opened open-ed he had decamped but his place was shortly taken by two others. At the conclusion of the meeting there were five constables and an inspector at the door. Several members .were stopped j and inquiries made as to what had taken place and the name of the chair-I chair-I i - man.
