Hall of San Juan Commandery No. 53, Knights of St. John, Durango, Colo., j Feb. 7, 1903:- I Whereas, We have heard with sorrow sor-row of the death of Mr. John Henry Shannon of Acambarro. Mexico, who was killed on Dec. 10, 1902, in the prime of life, while at his post of duty as passenger locomotive engineer on the Mexico Central railroad, near the city of Chihuahua, Mexico; and ! Whereas, The deceased was the oldest old-est child of Patrick C. Shannon, the second vice president of this commandery; com-mandery; therefore, be it Resolved, That the members of this commandery extend our sincere and : heaertfclt sympathy to Brother Shan-j Shan-j ion, to the widow of the deceased, and to the surviving daughters and sons of Brother Shannon; Resolved, That these resolutions be I placed upon the records of this com- t mandery, that a copy be furnished to Brother Shannon, and a copy be sent to the newspaper of Durango, Colo., the Dpnver Catholic and The Intcr-niountain Intcr-niountain Catholic for publication.
