Show A. E. WALKER DEAD Passes Away at Holy Cross Hospital Hos-pital After Undergoing Operation Op-eration For Appendicitis. Albert E. Walker, a son of J. R. Walker of this city, died at the Holy Cross hospital yesterday, after undergoing under-going an operation for appendicitis. Mr. Walker was taken sick about two weeks ago out on the Walker farm. His . illness first appeared in. the form of a stomach trouble, which the doctors doc-tors at first thought was inflammation of the bowels. A week ago he. was removed re-moved to the hospital and an operation was performed, it having been discovered discov-ered that he was suffering from appendicitis. ap-pendicitis. He seemed to improve after aft-er the operation and every hope was entertained for. his recovery. - Wednesday, however, he took a relapse re-lapse and his condition grew worse so rapidly that late in the afternoon the doctors decided that another operation was the only possibility of saving his life. The second operation was accordingly ac-cordingly performed last night and it was discovered that his relapse was due to an accumulation of blood in the intestines. He never regained perfect consciousness conscious-ness after the -second operation and died yesterday morning. His sudden death almost prostrated his wife and family, who had every hope that he would soon recover. Mr. Walker was born in this city and was about 23 years of age at the time of his death. He was raised and educated edu-cated in this city and was well known and respected by everyone. Just a little over a year ago he married and he leaves a wife and 6-weeks-old baby. The funeral services will be held from his late home on West Temple street Saturday, the time to be announced later. . |
