Show j PARK CITY. (Special Correspondence.) Park City, Aug. II. 19i7. The K. of. C. gave their first entertainment enter-tainment Monday, Aug. 12. There were 200 guests. The entertainment from the beginning to a finish was the most enjoyable. Expressions of joyous satisfaction sat-isfaction toward the ladies in charge of the program were heard on all sides. The committee consisted of Mrs. .1. A. Tallon, Misses B. Durkin, Katie Carty. Mary Leahy and Mrs. J. Durkin. Dur-kin. Those who did not while away their time at a friendly game of cards kept time to the sweet strains or music mu-sic which was under the direction of Mrs. C. Drake and Samuel Raddon. During the evening the happy crowd listened to very interesting talks from Father Calligan ar.d Grand Knight Tallon on the beauties of the order and other social topics. The tables, which w re decorated ; with sweet peas and nasturtiums er.. patronized by all the guests to the great delight of those in charge. Those who were backward in partaking of the refreshments were pressed forward by Mr. Connor. Mr. Walsh and Mr. Durkins, who insisted that all should share in the hospitality of the K. of C. A nice- entertainment or a pleasanter and happier crowd tarelv assemble together to-gether in Park City. The K. of C. insisted in-sisted that it would be a. success, and it was. Miss Katherine Ryan, the representative represen-tative of The Intel-mountain Catholic, was in Park City Saturdav. Sunday and Monday. Visitors to Salt Lake from Park City during the week were Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Jennings, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Towey, Mrs. Maxin. Mrs. Eleahore Wright. Mrs. McGill, Judge Shields, B. MrDon-ough MrDon-ough and Mrs. W. Garvin. Mis. Henry Welsh left for Butte Monday evening, where she will visit for several weeks with Dr. and Mrs V. Turner. The Misses Christina and Man- McDonald. Mc-Donald. Thomas Tythall and "j. C. Kearns spent Wednesday of last week at Brighton lakes. The Misses Agnes and Martha Kelly returned from the city last week. Mrs. H. Welsh entertained Mrs. Thomas Fraser at luncheon on Friday. John Kelley returned Friday morning morn-ing from a pleasant visit in Salt Lake. William Donohan and Joe Sullivan returned from a month's visit in Nevada Ne-vada and California Thutsday morning. |
