Show KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS CONVENTION. Twenty - Fifth Annual Convention Held at Norfolk, Nor-folk, Va., One long to Be Remembered. The Knights of Columbus of the South and especially es-pecially of Virginia should certainly feel proud of the grand reception and entertainment, given by them to the delegates of the Knights of Columbus from all sections of the American continent. Never Nev-er before has a convention been the recipients of so j much hospitality and good cheer and every one who has attended the national convention arc loud in their praises of the genuine hospitality of the southern members of the order. Pontificial mss was celebrated in the old historic his-toric church of St. Mary's, with Bishop Iveiley of (Jeorgia as celebrant, on August 4. The old church was beautifully decorated, and it was a grand sight, the church being filled to overflowing with members mem-bers of the order and their friends. An eloquent sermon was delivered by Bishop Keiley. After mass, the delegates assembled in the OJrauby theatre, and once again were bid welcome, in true southern style, by Governor Swanson of Virginia. The convention was celled to order at the Pine Beach hotel by Supreme Knight Ed. Hearn. After a short session, and the appointment of committees, commit-tees, the convention adjourned until Wednesday at 1U a. in. |
