Show The British cabinet, is once more in a turmoil of perplexity and anxiety over Irish affairs. The resignation res-ignation of the lord lieutenant, Earl Duelley, seems immcnent. The government is being subjected to scathing and galling criticism because of the unjustifiable un-justifiable treatment of Mr. McDonnell, and Mr. Redmond, encouraged by its discomfiture, is pressing press-ing urgent and embarrassing elemands for home rule. How much longer can England, in the face of these ever-recurring and exceedingly irksome disturbances, dis-turbances, persist in foisting its tyrannicali rule upon an intensely unwilling people? |
