Show "Don'ts" For Girls. Don't be ungrateful. If some, one does you a kindness, show that you appreciate appre-ciate it, even if it does cost you an effort. ef-fort. Don't say: "Of course, I'm glad he did it, but I didn't ask him to. He did it of his own accord. If he hadn't done it, some one else would." Never accept gifts and favors and then forget the giver. Do not be so mean and low as to say, "I do not like him. but I will be friendly until after Christmas, fo'r he always gives adorable ador-able gifts." Never quarrel or harbor a grief. Anger, An-ger, grief or selfishness will mar the expression of the face, and people are not considered beautiful unless their expression is good. Do not be a rerpetual giggler. A good hearty laugh, rather than being offensive, is often enloyed, but a girl who giggles perpetually is an abomination. I hate to say it, girls.- but do not get slllv over the beatis. It is foolish in a gi'-l for one thing interferes with her studies and makes her ""seem idiotic when she might really be sensible in other directions. Now, I don't say, "Don't have a beau." Having been a girl once myself I realize that it would do no good to say it. I simply say, "Do not get silly over them," -which means ' do not let them take up too much of your time that you should devote to your studies. |
