Show Church News, Devotions for October, the month of the Holy Rosary, will be celebrated every evening at the cathedral at 7:30. I One of the most interesting ser mons listened to for some time at East Helena was delivered by the pastor last Sunday, Rev. Father Barry. The sermon delivered was on the fruits of love. Father Barry began by explaining explain-ing how man's creation in the beginning- was an act of divine love, followed follow-ed by the passion and death of Christ, which was .sufficient proof of the love f'hrist possessed for man. The life of j St. Vincent de Paul, the founder of the Order of Sisters of Charity, is full of love for all. Many other beautiful j parts of the sermon were word painted and clearly brought out-the idea conveyed con-veyed by the lecturer. A pound party will he given Tuesday evening. Oct. S, at St. Aloysius hall, under the auspices of the Catholic Ladies' La-dies' Literary and Benevolent society. The pound party is given for the benefit ben-efit of St. Joseph's Orphans' home, and all are requested to donate what they . . - . can to the pound party. Food, cloth- ... .. lng or money will be gratefully received re-ceived for the orphans and will ai the Sisters materially in tiding (heir charges over the winter. One hundred and forty-two children have to be fed, clothed and cared for, without any subsistence sub-sistence whatever, but the kindness and charity of their friends and benefactors.
