Show f- , Protestant Tribute to Confessional. I Dr. E. B. Andrews, former president ! cf Brown university, is one of the I most forceful characters now attract- 1 Jng public interest. He never disap- I points his admirers by falling below a I certain high level of performance. He I has a style, too. that carries convic- f tion, and an urbanity that even the i stress of controversy cannot ruffle. His recent address at the University of Chicago was one of the best things he has done. He said: "Look out for the muggy days in your character. The Roman Catholic Church is most wel-' wel-' come to these muggy days. It is a good thing to have one to whom one f. ran go and say: 'Well. I have made a Viotch of it this time, hut things were "gainst me! I often wish non-Catholics were admitted to the confessional. I have often thought it would be conducive con-ducive to aiding men to form new and fcetter habits." There is an argument well put by a. man of the world, a i brainy man, too and a Protestant. |
