Show ." FROM BERG, MONT. Fromberg is to have . a Catholic church : and Sunday, .school, both of which were organized Sunday, August 13,. by the Rev. Father Yermaat of St. Agnes church. Great Falls. The Sunday Sun-day school will start out with a possible possi-ble membership of forty and the church has sufficient money pledged with which to begin the erection of a building this month. The movement for a church edifice was started some weeks ago and Sunday Sun-day after holding services at Fromberg From-berg Father Vermoot called upon his congregation regarding the project. Within. a few moments a fund of between be-tween $1,200 and $1,400 was pledged and a building , committee consisting of Father Vermaat, president. Ed Butler, vice president and three trustees was selected to begin the erection of the edifice at once. The trustees are Louis Glodt, Ed McDonald and and Ed Moran. The church w ill be erected on' the hill just west of Fromberg, giving Gebo easy access to the location. After disposing dis-posing of -this matter an altar society was organized with the following officers: of-ficers: President, Mrs. Ed McDonald; vice president, Mrs. Ed Moran; secretary, secre-tary, Mrs. Joe Black; collectors, Misses Mary Black and Annie Lebrun. The teachers for the Sunday school will be Mrs. Ed Moran and Miss Mary Black. The funds for ; the erection of . a church edifice were subscribed by the citizen's at large regardless of creed or nationality, Gebo furnishing something over $500. which has been raised during dur-ing the Rev. Father Stack's residence as pastor of St. Agnes church. New-Northwest. |
