Show FUSION IN COEUfi D'ALENES. All Three Parties Endorse Fred T. Dubois For Senator. Coeur d'Alene City, Ida., July 11. Fred T. Dubois for United States senator sen-ator and John B. Goode for governor were unanimously indorsed by the Populist, Democratic and silver Republican Repub-lican conventions in session here today. to-day. The three conventions worked hasmoniously together. Each selected delegates to the Pocatello convention and then the three parties nominated a county ticket, dividing the offices equally between them. The Indorsement of Dubois for senator sena-tor was expected, as he is immensely popular with all three parties in this county. John B. Goode, indorsed for governor, is at present prosecuting attorney at-torney and is also one of the regents of the state university at Moscow. The resolution passed by the three ! conventions was as follows: "Be it resolved. re-solved. That it is the sense of this convention con-vention that the delegates selected to the Pocatello convention use all honorable hon-orable means to accomplish a harmonious harmoni-ous fusion of all the silver and reform forces, and that it is the sense of this convention that the harmony of the union forces will be best advanced by a declaration in favor of the candidacy of Hon. Fred T. Dubois for United States senator and by the nomination of John B. Goode of Kootenai county for governor." |
