Show : DEER LODGE. :l (Correspondence Intermountain Catholic.) The elements seem to conspire against the farmers in this vicinity, for what the hail failed to destroy the frost of Thursday night succeeded in doing, as potatoes and other vegetables we nipped in the bud by it. And this in the early summer time. Judge W. L. Powell and son have purchased the Emery stage business and run a line daily between that place and Deer Lodge. C. S. Hare, the architect of Helena, who is now at work on plans for St. Mary's academy, met with a bicycle accident here last week which kept him in doors for a few days at hte Mc-Burney, Mc-Burney, but he was able to start for home last Monday. Joseph Smith, an employee of Mrs. Houck of Garrison, is now at St. Joseph's Jos-eph's hospital, having been run over by a mowing machine while at work on the ranch at Garrison. He was considerably consid-erably bruised and had one arm broken, but is doing well at thchospital. where he receives good care. |
