Show V 4 -4- t ANACONDA. I (Correspondence lntermounlain Catholic.) John R. Toole, chief of Marcus Daly's political staff, is home from Kansas City. In response to a question, he said he was feeling well, but not well enough to discuss the treatment accorded ac-corded the Daly delegation by the national na-tional Democratic convention. He had canvassed the situation, he said, upon his arrival at Kansas City, and knew in advance what the convention would do to him. Clark's alleged million- dollar contribution to the Democratic campaign fund stampeded the convention, conven-tion, and before the Daly men could catch their breath Clark's delegates were seated. Mike McNamara, a married man, re-sciding re-sciding with his family, a wife and two children at the rear of 811 East Park avenue, was found dead Saturday evening even-ing in the cabin of McLaughlin Bros., friends of his, who reside at 418 East Third street. The deceased and Dan McLaughlin had been drinking together to-gether more or less since the Fourth. As near as can be learned both men laid down on the bed about 5 o'clock. At about 7 o'clock McLaughlin awoke j and found McNamara in a kneeling po- ' sition near the bed. He could not be aroused and help was summoned, which determined that McNamara wis dead. Chief White. Dr. English and Acting Coronor William Devine were soon on the scene. The remains were removed to Ehret's undertaking rooms and the terrible news broken to Mrs. McNamara. A coronor's jury composed of W. F. Furay, Charles Houck, Owen O'Neil, Dan Dwyer, J. E. Lindsay and Charles Newman decided that death was due to heart disease. |
