After an efficient ten years' service, doctor Joyce has tendered his resignation resigna-tion as president of the school board. ine action is due to the fact that pro-ressional pro-ressional duties will occupy him to such an extent that he cannot devote the desired de-sired time to educational matters. The resignation was reluctantly accepted, and Henry G William was elected to Tfill the position. The formal opening of the Hermitage in Ugden canyon occurred last week, I the Weber c,ub took possession of ine hotel at one" of the most successful affairs they have ever given. Heywood. president of the club, entertained Mr. Cotterill at luncheon. Great preparations are being made for the first auto road race In Ogden on Decoration day. The race will be under the patronage and auspices of the management man-agement of the Hot Springs, and the road will cover the ten miles between Ogden and Hot Springs. Three handsome hand-some cups will be offered as prizes, so that all cars of different makes and power will have an equal chance to win. The Salt Lake Tribune of Mav 19 makes special mention of the weli-de-hvered recitation, "Boys," by Master Paul Miller, at the entertainment by the All Hallows- college students.
