Show I BUTTE, MONT. ' i Forty-two new members were taken into the St. John BaptiA society hist Sunday evening at the meeting at Car-renters' Car-renters' un.u hall. After initiation Hhe society held a smoker, and a pleasant program was rendered, the Orpheon Francais Glee club singing several selections. se-lections. . Next Sunday the society will attend mass at St. Joseph's church in a body. The sermon will be preached in Fr.n.';i by the Rev. Father J. Guemard, chaplain chap-lain of the society. The Orpheon Fraii-cais, Fraii-cais, under the leadership of William Page, will sing the famous mass of st Therese, by Th. de la Hache, Mrs. Flora Rooney will play -the organ accompaniment. accom-paniment. The society is continually progressing and,, though onry a year old, has already between -400 and f.oo members in Butte. j Many members of the Gaelic learuc? of Butte went to Anaconda last Sunday : evening to aid in the organization of a branch . there.
