Daly entertained the members of the Sewing club Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon at her home on F street. A cablegram received recently from London from J. J. Daly announces the arrival of Mrs. Daly, the 'Misses Dora and Evelyn Daly and Maurice Daly in London, where they are at home at the Hotel Cecil for a couple of weeks. Mr. Daly expects to arrive in this city about April 10. Mr. Roddy, one of the oldest employes em-ployes of the Oregon Short Lino, has gained in popularity with all classes since his appoin'ment to the onorous position of roadniaster.
