Among those who recently purchased Nevada tickets over the Midland are the following: John MeGuire to Tono-pah, Tono-pah, W. P. Kane and John Kane to Goldfield, Thomas Flood to Goldfield, L. L. Hancock and wife to Rhyollte and Mrs. Mary Sullivan to Goldfield. .Esther Bowman has gone to the House of the Good Sheprerd at Denver, Den-ver, 'where she will make her home for ah indeterminate period. Esther is little lit-tle more than thirteen years of age, and for the past year or so has been llvinp with friends in different parts of the city. It is said that her father refused re-fused to- provide for her wants, and that at times' she -was without sufficient suffi-cient clothing or enough food to sustain sus-tain her in a healthy condition. With, a large concourse' of sorrowing friends and relatives in attendance, the remains of the late John Ward were last- Saturday, morning laid to rest at St. Joseph's cemetery. The services attending the funeral were heled at the home of the sister of the deceased at 9 o'clock, with the requiem mass, at the, .Church -of the Annunciation Annuncia-tion following at 9:30. Rev. Father Gibbons had charge of the ceremonies, and delivered a very appreciable funeral funer-al sermon.
