Show PARK CITY. i Surrounded by her family, lovingly att ended, with a deeply religious faith in the wisdom and love of God, Mrs. Ellen Connor last Friday morning en tered the Great Vale. With her pass- j ing, a useful, thoroughly good and j wholesome life ended. To know the I lady was to love and respect her: al-I al-I ways amiable and cheerful with a kind I word and smile for everyone she was ! always spoken of in words of endear ment. She will be sadly missed from I her accustomed place, and the hundreds hun-dreds who know and loved her, will j grieve at her death. She lived a noble, i Christian life, and truly earned the reward re-ward which surely awaits her. To the heart-broken husband, whose companion and. helpmeet she was for nearly half- a century, and to the daughters and son, who though grown mourn as only a child can mourn a parent. Heartfelt sympathy is extended. ex-tended. Mrs. Connor was bom at Killary Lakes. Ireland, sixty-eight years ago. i She was married in New York to T. J. Connor, and they soon came to Utah, traveling overland. They located at Stockton, and after a year's residence there left on another overland trip to California. In . 1S67 they returned to Stockton aiid remained there until twenty-two years ago. when they came to Park City, and have since that time conducted the Salt Lake house. Mr. and Mrs. Connor would have celebrated celebrat-ed the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage next June. Mrs. Connor was the mother of nine children, four of 'whom are livine. I Tom, a son, having died last Deeem-i Deeem-i ber. The children living are Mrs. Mayme Paxton and Mrs. Ella Leary of this city: Mrs. Josie Leahy of Leahy, Wash., and John Connor of Stockton. Mrs. Leahy arrived Tuesday and Mr. Connor came the same day from California, Cali-fornia, where he had been visiting. Mrs. J. G.tlligan. Mrs. Thomas Kearns came up from Salt Lake Thursday of last week to t visit with Mrs. Dan Gallivan. Mrs. Dan Gallivan came home last week after a brief visit with relatives in Salt Lake. Mike J. Conrey was among last ! Monday morning's arrivals, from Salt Lake. .......... J |
