Show LORENZO BAIRD DIES IN BRIGHAM CITY j A very impressive funeral cere-j mony was held in Mink Creek Sunday for Lorenzo Baird, 67, who died in the Brigham City hospital January 23. Mr.. Baird was a prominent pro-minent Franklin county man up until un-til the time he moved with his wife to Brigham City in 1932. For six years hei was commissioner of the county and served as. chairman of school district No. 32 for 18 years. As an active leader of the church he was superintendent of the Mink Creek Sunday School for 12 years, worked as a ward teacher and did much temple work. At the time of his death he was a member of the high priests quorom in Brigham City. The order of the funeral cer-monies cer-monies is as follows: Song, "O My; Father" by the choir, opening prayer by L. Willard Nelson, talk by Hyrum Bell, Song by quartet consisting of George L. Glade, Junius Larsen, Hyrum Jepsen, and Ezra Larsen, Talk by President Wynn, violin solo by Elder Felt of Brigham, Talk by Mr .Arthur Schieweder, Talk by Norman larsen; lar-sen; song, "Going Home" by Hyrum Hy-rum Jepsen; remarks by Bishop W. E. Crane; song, "I'll Go Where You Want Me To Go" by the choir, and benediction by Charles Shum-way. Shum-way. Adam Keller dedicated the grave. Mr. Baird was born February '7, 1874, at Brigham City, the son of Alexander and Margaret Crompton. He married Newzene Keller in the Logan temple in 1896 and moved to Mink Creek to engage in farm- inpf T'r thorn covan nhilli-an vi.hvq bora. Hig wife died in 1908. In 1910 he married Malene Steffensen in the Salt Lake City temple. He is survived by his widow wid-ow and the following children: Horace, Rigby; Archie, Challis; James, Mink Creek; Alice Hancock, Preston; ten grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Alex, Baird, Rigby; Maggie Hun-saker, Hun-saker, Honeyville, Utah; Agnes, Olsen, Grace; Mrs. Jess Bergquist, Preston; Mrs. James M. Keller, Logan; John E. Baird and Mrs. Rena Hopkins of Brigham City; Jas. Baird, Salt Lake City and Geo. L Baird of San Diego, Calif. n r |
