Show u AMERICAR FACTORY PUTS SEVERE TEST ON MOTORS Running "wide open" for 100 hours at 4,400 revoli s per minute, min-ute, thej equivalent of 8,000 miles an the road at over 80 miles per hour, is now a routine periodic test for the Willys AMERICAR engine, Earl Hollingsworth, local dealer for the Willys-Overland in this area announced an-nounced here this week. "Every few weeks an engine is taken at random from the assembly lme and put through this test," Mr Hollingsworth explained "and to date, according to our engineers after af-ter careful measurement and check-ng, check-ng, the valves, pistons, piston ring-cylinder ring-cylinder walls, bearings and other parts of the engine have completed testa in 'excellent condition.' " The power plants used In these tests are mounted in standard fash 'on on rubber blocks exactly as when installed in a car and placed under full load.
