Show CCC ENROLLMENT IS OFFERED HERE IN MONTH OF APRIL "Another opportunity is being offered unemployed boys between the ages of 17 and 23y, for employment employ-ment and training in the Civilian Conservation Corps," said, Joseph F. Smith today. The enrollment will take place in; April. All interested youth who are physically fit citizens of the United States of good character and in need of employment are eligible and invited to apply at the office of the Department of Public Assistance As-sistance in Preston. "More opportunities oppor-tunities than ever await unemployed unem-ployed youth who enroll," continued contin-ued Mr. Smith. In fact COC-train-ed men readily find jobs in private industry. Many former enrollees who ,have enlisted with Ihe army, marines and navy are said by national na-tional CCC officials to be advancing advanc-ing rapidly because of their training train-ing and experience. Mr. Smith urged boys who are eligible eli-gible and who want employment to apply immediately. All enrollees receive $30 per month plus board, room, and medical and dental care. Enrollees who have dependents send $15 per month to their dependents de-pendents save $7 per month, and receive $8 per month for their own use. Enrollees without dependents receive $S per month and must save $22. |
