Show ONEIDA CANTATA BY SINGING MOTHERS PRESENTED SUNDAY An out-standing perfJiinaiu e was given by the Oneida Stake Singing Mothers at a cantata at the- Fourth Ward Church Sunday evening. The stage was beautifully decorated deco-rated with tall lighted, white tapers and ferns. Large flower baskets of Easter lilies completed the effective effec-tive arrangement. A, large picture oij the Christ was flood-lighted and stood near the piano. At the short meeting which preceded pre-ceded the cantata, Mrs. Ida Evans introduced Mrs. Pauline I'iagree, Salt Lake City who is a meiteti ut the General Board of the Music committee of the Relief Society. Mrs. Ruby Kilgore gave a we'.cmn-ing we'.cmn-ing talk to new members of the stake. The B. Cecil Gates cantata "Re:' tirreetion Morn" was sung by a full chorus of forty-five ladies in uniform. The cantata was specially special-ly dedicated to the Singing Mothers Moth-ers and all Relief Societies of the church. Following the meeting Stephen Lundquist played a violin so'.o. He was accompanied at the consul.; by Mrs. Constance Pavis. A string orchestra added to the beauty of the occasion. Those play ing in the orchestra were Stephen Lundquist, Miss Vauna Barton. Miss Marie Rowell, Miss Lauren Swainston and Miss Corinne Con-die. Con-die. Mrs.f Adeline Fortie was director with Mrs. Lucetta Archibald, pianist, pian-ist, Mrs. Constance Davis organist. organ-ist. Soloists with the group were Mrs. Thelma Johnson, Mrs. Mae Larson, Mrs. Lettie Condie. Mrs. Elsie Greaves, Mrs. Margaret Merrill Smith, Mrs. Grace Meek, Mrs. Maurine Simmons, and Mrs. Josephine Jose-phine Spilsbury. o o |
