Preston'u duck pin league got off to a flying start here Monday eve ning with three teams capturing all of their opening games. The remaining six teams in the league will see action next Thursday evening. eve-ning. Unusual feature of! opening play-was play-was that all three winning teams each captured all four possible points against their opponents. Play was close in most oi the games, however, so a battle for honors is in the offing. Dee's Drive Inn turned in the stellar performance of the evening with a pin total of 2240, an average of 149 per man. Preston Bike Shop ran a close second with total pins numbering 2101 for an average ot 140 per man. Handicaps are being computed on basis of scoring in Monday evening eve-ning and Thursday's games, so any initial advantage the leaders may have will be trimmed down with individual in-dividual handicaps. Handicaps will change from week to week, depending depend-ing nnnn individual averages. In Monday evening' clashes, Preston Pres-ton Bike defeated the Citizen 4-0, Dee's Drive Inn downed Preston ' Lumber 4-0, and Jaycees defeated J. C. Penney 4-0. j |
