Show LOCALS Mr. and Mrs. Guy Shelton and Mrs. Vesta Shelton Railsback of San Francisco, California, were in Preston during the holidays on business and visiting friends. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dryden of Eoise visited during the Christmas week with Mrs. Dryden's mother, Mrs. E. Card. , Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Lundqui3t entertained at a musical last Thursday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Paull. Farris Edgley, music director of the Carbon Car-bon 'college at Price, Utah, accompanied; accom-panied; by Mr. Edgley, played several sev-eral violin selections. Uain'.y refreshments were served to a large number of invited guests. t Dinner guests at the home of Superintendent and Mrs. R. F. Campbell oi New Year's day were Mr. and Mrs. U. F. Campbell and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Wride of Aberdeen and Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Judah and children of Castle Dale, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. George D. Berkly are the proud parents of a baby boy born Tuesday, January 7. Mrs. Berkly before her marriage was Miss Wanda Sharp, daughter ot Mr. and Mrs. Lester t. Sharp of Preston. , LeGrandq Chatterton. son of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Chatterton left Friday for Boise where he entered the Boise Business university. Mrs. Card Greaves recently returned re-turned to Preston after having spent Christmas week with her husband in Portland, Ore. Mr. Greaves has been locatedi at Portland Port-land since December 10, when he took an appointive position in the income tax department in Oregon. Mr. and Mrs. William Riddle and children, Bill and Victoria, of Ta-coma, Ta-coma, Wash., spent the Christmas holidays with Mr. and Mrs. A. C Conine. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Johnson of Logan were dinner guests on New Year's Day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. B. G. Weaver. Ernest Eberhard, Sr., of Nampa and Milton Eberhard of Moscow were guests last week a the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Eberhard Jr. The Misses Margene and Beverly Bever-ly Boothe spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. J., Neff Boothe. A no-hostess New Year's eve party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Olive Williams. Games were played and a hot lunch was served to twenty-four. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Beckstead entertained at a family party last Thursday evening at their home. A hot lunch was servea and tne evening speht in playing games. Miss Emma Prusse and Arthur Taylor of Salt Lake City were week-end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Lundquist. Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Hansen and Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Lee spent the week-end in Idaho Falls. Miss Sybil Hansen, who has been visiting visit-ing in Rexburg for a week, returned return-ed to Preston with them. |
